Who are they?
The leading rail freight operator in Hungary and the Central European region was founded fifteen years ago. The group, which is mainly active in rail freight transport of specialised goods, including dangerous, overweight and oversized goods, has built a transport corridor between Serbia and the German border.
As of today, the CER group is present in six countries (Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Croatia, Austria, Romania) with 11 owned and 8 hired locomotives and nearly 160 employees.
Recognising the importance of digitalisation, the group is developing and continuously improving its own operationally managed IT system (RIS). It is already using its own IT system in Hungary. Currently, the development in line with the Railway Package is underway, in order to extend its use to other member companies.
