VRG Therapeutics Zrt. and its subsidiaries are a technology-focused biotechnology group whose drug development platform combines artificial intelligence with laboratory processes to develop next-generation therapies.
Our mission is to develop new therapeutic solutions that have previously proved unattainable using conventional drug development approaches.
Our core activity is the development of natural and synthetic mini-protein-based drug candidates, which we create using directed evolution technology. In addition to mini-protein technology, there are two other areas of research which we are pursuing through separate companies. CREATe Therapeutics is working on a gene therapy that could be switched on and off using a drug-like molecule, whilst Novamigra Therapeutics is seeking a solution for the prevention of migraine using a combination of drugs.
With investment support from the Széchenyi Funds, several of the company’s research projects have reached the proof-of-concept (PoC) stage. One key development has moved a step closer to clinical trials through the involvement of a strategic co-development partner and progress made in the FDA’s pre-IND process.
