Update: the deadline is extended, application to the first round of Alba Accelerator are open until March 26, 2018 on the project’s website

The Central-Transdanubian Regional Innovation Agency and Széchenyi Venture Capital Fund Management are launching a new accelerator programme called Alba Accelerator. Participating teams and small or medium sized entreprises (SMEs) in the early stage of their development will receive mentoring from established experts of the two organizations in areas such as

intellectual property, business planning, market research, legal issues around starting a company, as well as marketing.

By the end of the two-month acceleration round, participants will have learned all the knowledge and skills necessary to apply for funding from a venture capital investor. The teams and SMEs will also have at their disposal a business concept elaborated with the involvement of experienced mentors and thematic experts, along with a detailed action plan for the 6 months following the acceleration. These will be presented to a number of investors active in the Hungarian equity financing market at the end of the programme (they will also receive help in getting ready for the final pitch, both in terms of content and presentation technique).

Applications to Alba Accelerator are now open. We are looking for startups and teams with a business idea and/or a proof of concept (PoC) related to the Hungarian National Smart Specialization Strategy (S3) priorities or to the sectors promoted by the Irinyi Plan, the country’s re-industrialization strategy. To convince us that you are a great candidate for the acceleration programme, you need to fill in a short form about your business idea. Expect questions about the proposed product or service, the potential customers, the competition and the team members! We would also like to hear about the current maturity of your project and about what you expect to achieve by the end of the acceleration.
